Frequently asked questions
Can I upgrade later?
Yes! Our systems are designed to be modular, making it easy to upgrade your battery storage capacity or add additional features as your needs change over time.
What happens after I submit my details?
Once you’ve submitted your details, our team will review your information and contact you shortly. We’ll discuss your needs in detail, answer any questions, and guide you through the next steps, including a possible site survey or system installation planning.
How long does the installation take?
Typically, installation takes just one day. Complex installations might require additional time, but we always aim to minimize disruption to your routine.
Do I need special permits for the installation?
Usually, permits are straightforward and we’ll handle them for you. However, this can vary depending on your location. Our team will inform you upfront about any required permits.
Will the battery work during a power outage?
Yes, our All-in-One battery is designed to provide backup power during outages, keeping essential appliances running and your home comfortable.
Can I monitor my battery remotely?
Absolutely. Our battery systems come with an easy-to-use mobile app, allowing you to track performance, battery health, energy savings, and manage settings from anywhere.
What maintenance is required?
Our battery systems require minimal maintenance. Regular checks by our team, usually annually, ensure your system continues to perform optimally. We remotely follow the battery status via our app.
Is the system environmentally friendly?
Yes! By using our All-in-One battery system, you reduce your home’s reliance on fossil fuels, decrease your carbon footprint, and actively contribute to a cleaner environment.
Are batteries safe enough to use home?
Home energy storage systems are a safe and reliable solution when installed and maintained by certified professionals following established safety standards. We offer LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries. This is a significantly higher level of safety compared to traditional lithium-ion batteries commonly used in vehicles and household electronics. LFP batteries do not ignite spontaneously, making them a safer choice for home energy storage solutions.
If I have solar panels, is it possible to use them with Besst AIO?
Yes. However, in setups where solar panels are paired with a string inverter, integration with BESS is not possible. In such cases, replacing the string inverter with a hybrid inverter is required to ensure seamless operation and efficient energy management.
What financial options can be used to order an Advanced Home Energy System?
We are partnering with Inbank. Inbank hire purchase allows you to split a large one-time expense into small monthly payments. Spread the purchase sum over up to 6 years. The first payment is due only a month later.
How does Besst help me earn money?
Your Besst system stores energy from your solar panels or the grid when prices are low and releases it when prices peak, reducing your energy bills. It connects to a smart energy platform that stabilizes the grid, and you get paid for this valuable service.
Why would you pay me for using energy storage?
The modern grid needs flexibility to handle the ups and downs of renewable energy. BESST’s technology allows your battery to absorb excess power or release stored energy when needed, helping the grid and earning you extra income while supporting a greener grid.
How does the main fuse size affect battery system performance?
The size of your home’s main fuse determines the maximum inverter capacity that can be installed. For example, a 25A fuse typically supports a 10 kW inverter, while a 35A fuse can accommodate a 15 kW inverter. A larger inverter allows for greater energy throughput, potentially increasing your system’s efficiency and earnings. If needed, it’s often possible to upgrade your main fuse to support a larger system.
Do I receive the same earnings from the reserve market every month?
Earnings from the reserve market can fluctuate monthly due to various factors, including market demand, time of day, and seasonality. Therefore, while participation can be profitable, the exact earnings may vary from month to month.
What portion of the earnings does the service provider take?
Service providers typically take a commission from the earnings generated through the reserve market. This commission usually ranges between 20% and 30% of the total earnings, depending on the provider’s business model.
Do I need a grid connection?
Yes, you need to have a two-way grid connection and pay relevant fee to the DSO.
Do I need PV to install the battery?
No, the battery can operate independently without a PV system.
What does it mean to join the Besst energy community?
When you purchase a Besst battery, you automatically become part of our Virtual Power Plant (VPP). This means your battery works alongside others in our network to balance the grid and trade energy smartly.
What are virtual shares?
Virtual shares represent your participation in our energy network. The more your battery contributes, the more shares you earn — and the more you earn when we profit.
Do I really get paid for participating?
Yes! We share a portion of our profits with community members based on their virtual shares. It’s our way of rewarding your role in building a smarter energy system.
