Besst Technologies OÜ Trade-In Policy
Effective Date: 29 August 2025

At Besst Technologies OÜ (Besst), we aim to reward long-term participation in our Virtual
Power Plant (VPP) community with access to our latest energy storage technology. Our
Trade-In Program is designed to support this transition — allowing eligible users to
upgrade their battery systems after 36 months of active VPP participation.

Programme Overview
Besst offers a voluntary Trade-In opportunity to existing customers after 36 months of
uninterrupted VPP service. Subject to eligibility and technical inspection, you may be
invited to swap your current battery system for a new Besst All-in-One (AiO) unit, designed
to deliver:

• Faster performance with more powerful components
• Improved efficiency through extended battery life and more daily cycles
• Optimized earnings via deeper energy market integration

We aim to provide a hassle-free swap, with installations handled by our certified local
partners and minimal downtime in VPP participation.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for Trade-In:

• You must have completed at least 36 months of active participation in Besst’s VPP
program.
• Your current system must be installed and connected to the EMS with no violations
of service terms.
• The battery must be in good operational condition as confirmed by Besst, our
installation partner, or other technical partner designated by Besst.
• You must reside in a supported region where Besst offers Trade-In services.

Participation in the Trade-In Program is not automatic or guaranteed. Besst reserves the
right, at its sole discretion, to:

• Decline any trade-in request;
• Limit the number of accepted applications based on technical, regional, or strategic
considerations;
• Modify or discontinue the program at any time.

The testing and evaluation of your current battery will determine whether you qualify for
trade-in or any cash-back offer. All evaluations are conducted by our authorized service
providers.

Device Ownership and Compensation
Upon successful trade-in, your existing battery becomes the property of Besst and may be
refurbished, recycled, or otherwise processed.

The replacement AiO battery remains the property of Besst unless a separate purchase
agreement is signed.
Any cash-back value (if applicable) is determined based on the battery’s tested condition
and market resale/refurbishment potential. No minimum compensation is guaranteed.

Assessment and Pricing of Traded-In Batteries
The value of your existing battery system — whether in the form of cash-back
compensation or credit toward the new AiO unit — is determined following a technical
inspection and market-based assessment conducted by our authorized installation
partner.
Key factors include:

• Remaining battery capacity and cycle count
• Age and operational history
• Physical and cosmetic condition
• Manufacturer and model compatibility
• Estimated refurbishment or resale value

Besst does not guarantee any fixed or minimum compensation amount. All pricing
decisions are final and at the sole discretion of Besst and its appointed service partner. If
your battery is deemed ineligible due to safety concerns, non-functionality, or excessive
wear, no compensation may be offered.
Any applicable cash-back or credit amount will be communicated to you prior to swap
confirmation, and your participation will remain optional until accepted in writing.
Participation in the Trade-In Program may require the collection and analysis of your device
and usage data. By applying, you consent to such data being used solely for eligibility and
valuation purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Supported Regions
The Trade-In Program is available exclusively in regions where the Besst VPP is actively
operating. Eligibility requires that:

• Your residence or installation site is located within an officially supported VPP
deployment area.
• Local installation and servicing partners are available to carry out the trade-in and
commissioning process.

Besst reserves the right to limit participation based on regional rollout plans, technical
feasibility, or regulatory constraints. If your region is not yet supported, you may register
your interest, and we will notify you when trade-in opportunities become available in your
area.

Installation and Support
All Trade-In installations are performed by certified Besst installation partners. The
installation time and site access will be agreed with the installation partners beforehand.
We aim to maintain continuous VPP connection during the swap process or minimal
downtime.

The new AiO device will include the latest EMS version, hardware upgrades, and a renewed
service term.

Policy Updates
Besst reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this Trade-In Policy at any time
without prior notice. The latest version will always be available on our website.

Governing Law
This policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the
Republic of Estonia. Any disputes arising from participation shall be resolved by the
competent courts of Tallinn, Estonia.
